About Us

Swinton & Co was founded on the basis of giving value to our clients. Based in Norwich we serve clients all over the United Kingdom and beyond.

While we look after the standard compliance issues for our clients we can offer so much more. Compliance services are only the start of what we offer, not the end.

At Swinton & Co we are so much more than just the accountant, to our clients we are key advisors and trusted business partners, we just happen to be chartered accountants and registered auditors too.

We think differently

We believe in the personal touch no matter what the size of business. When you become a client you are introduced to your individual client manager but that does not mean a faceless name you are never able to talk to, here at Swinton & Co they are the first person you call not the last.

You cannot have the personal touch without being approachable and friendly, we do not confuse with jargon. We take pride in ensuring that our clients understand every aspect of a meeting with us. A business cannot benefit if it cannot make use of information given by its key advisors. We work in partnership with our clients on equal terms for the good of their business.

We constantly review available technology that can help our clients. For example our meeting room on this website allows us to see your computer screen and even control your computer if you have a problem. It also allows us to quickly bring to your attention things we think would benefit your business without the need for a visit to your work place or our offices, unless you would prefer to have a meeting to discuss a particular topic.

No stop watches

Swinton & Co does not charge by the hour, which, to most professional firms is an alien concept. We base our charges on the value we bring to the business not the amount of time it takes for us to complete the job. Our charges are agreed up front and the price we quote is for the job, phone calls and meetings are not extras here. The price for the any additional work outside your original instruction would also be agreed in advance.

Most good accountants will save you money, however why just save money with your accountant, wouldn't you prefer to make money as well. We can show you how to improve your business performance and increase your profits.

We look forwards not backwards

Everyone who is in business knows that there are things that you must do, producing accounts and paying tax are the most obvious. Most people think that they only do them for the tax man and to see if they have made a profit but after that they are pretty useless and just sit on a shelf or in a box somewhere unless the bank asks for a copy. A necessary evil that just costs the business money.

By working with you throughout the year we can use the information gained to actually grow your business, we have extremely powerful analysis tools which can identify opportunities as well as difficulties early on. This means your business can react to the situation now not in six to ten months time when you dust off the records and pass them to your accountant just because you must get that tax return done.

Working with you on your business, to give you the time to work in your business allows you to develop the business and we will support you every step of the way. We have a powerful library of tools and resources at our disposal to help us achieve this together.

Swinton & Co are members of the Principa Network, Principa is a global organisation of independent accountancy practices who are dedicated to supporting their clients with added-value services, all designed to help the business person increase the value of their business.

We recognise the challenges that face many business owners and we are passionate both about finding solutions to those challenges as well as taking an enthusiastic interest in your business. We understand that the purpose of any business is to make and increase profit but how many accountants actually tell you there are only really four ways to significantly do this and would be willing to demonstrate them to you.
